Daily check ins

Morning check in's are a great way for teachers to check in with students, see how they are feeling, how their night was or anything to help start the day well. I create mine on Google forms, display a QR code linked to the google form and students complete it upon their arrival to class. There are different google forms I use, depending on the day of the week, what is coming up and how students are feeling. I use a daily check in on most days, with the Monday and Friday check in's being different.

Goals check in
This check in we use when there is something in particular we want to focus on for the day. It might be a goal, a particular strategy or something from the day before we had trouble with.

Weekend Check in
This check in is one that I use after the weekend. It asks simple questions about the weekend so I can get a feel for how their weekend was. This is great especially for those who don't want to tell you in person.

This is the check in I use everyday to see how students are going or how prepared they are for the day. This is the usual check in that my class uses.

I need to tell you something check in
This check in is used by my students when they have something they want to tell me but might not have time/they don't want to in person. This one is displayed in class all year round for students to use when they need to.

 Weekend Reflection Check in
Quite often on a Monday we don't have lots of time for sharing or news. So I use this check in when I know we will have a busy day. It also gives me a gauge on what my students did over the weekend so I can tap into that if I can.
