Why i teach? Folder

3/22/2022

Sometimes we feel down and have lots going on in our minds so we need a reminder of why we teach. Why we keep going and push through even when we are feeling down.
I saw this idea on Instagram where you keep a folder of all of the cards, precious creations, pictures and drawings made for you. When you are feeling overwhelmed or needing a reminder of why you teach; read through it and come back to those special memories.

I just used a white folder from Kmart I had lying around my classroom and created a cover sheet with some inspirational quotes on the inside. Then used clear files to add in all the pictures and things that I want to reflect back on and remember.
You can make one too - use my cover page below!

Handwriting is one of the most important things to practice and work on in your classroom. Correct letter formation is vital for students of all ages - even littles who are just starting school!

This year I refreshed my handwriting resources with a new font and added these name tracing mats to my store too. I use these daily in my classroom for both letter formation and name practice.

Both of these resources are available on my website or you can download this freebie below to get started in your classroom.
