Instructional Writing Exemplars, SC and Assessments

These instructional writing exemplars, SC and assessments are a great way for students and teachers to work through and check in on their progress while learning. The exemplars and success criteria sheets are perfect for students working on becoming more aware with their self assessment and learning the parts of instructional writing. This can be linked to class writing with the exemplars specifically showing aspects of the SC to be used or explicitly taught.

The assessments link to the success criteria and exemplars over three curriculum levels - Level 1, 2 and 3.

The assessments come in two versions:

  • Self assessment sheet with 3 smiley faces
  • Student and teacher assessment sheet
