Fluency Practice Timed Pages
These fluency practice timed pages are a great way to reinforce and practice decoding words that can be used in structured literacy or in phonics. Each page has a range of key words that follow structured literacy patterns i.e. first sounds, digraphs, vowel teams, spelling patterns; and a range of key words that follow word families.
Each page has a box to record a recording time if students are using this in a timed activity. Students can use this independently as an activity to reinforce decoding, in a buddy activity taking turns decoding the words or even as a whole class activity. This could even be used as formative or summative assessment.
Choose a page that relates to sounds students are working on and then have them decode the words.
