This is an exciting and fun game to play with your kiddies! This could be played as a whole class, in small groups, or with a buddy. It includes 50 'tricky words' or 'heart words' that students can practice spelling. This aligns with structured literacy words that you might be practicing in your classroom.
This game is similar to hangman! Students pick a word from the cards and choose the accompanying playing board e.g. if the word picked was 3 letters, they can use the 3 letter playing board. Other students guess the letters of the word like hangman. Each incorrect letter is crossed out and then had a line drawn on the rainbow. Every correct letter is then written in the right place in the box at the bottom.
This resource has 18 pages in it with the 'trick words' or 'heart words' being in both colour and black and white.
This resource is best laminated to ensure durability and reuse. Simply use a whiteboard pen to make the guesses and wipe clean each time.
