This is the full resource 'Can you make/draw....subitising number talks'. A great way to help students practice and reinforce their subitising which is something that can be tricky or requires lots of practice. These could be used as number talk activities, warm-ups or even group activities with students.
This resource comes with a saved powerpoint (.ppsx file) of each of the four resources:
- Subitising with tens frames
- Subitising with dots
- Subitising with unifix cube shapes
- Subitising with drawing a shape or pattern
This resource comes as a zip file that you need to be able to unzip. In the zip file there are each of the four powerpoint resources (.ppsx files); pdf copies and an instruction booklet. Each powerpoint also has instructions and guiding questions to elicit responses. Some of these are:
- Can you make this?
- What can you see?
- What did you notice?
- What did you look at first?
- What pattern or shape did they make?
- How many dots are there altogether?
