Maths Stones (freebie)

This maths stones freebie is a great starter if you are looking to create your own maths stones. Similar to story stones, but for maths! This freebie includes two templates that you can use in your classroom to bring in maths stones for manipulatives.

This resource includes:

numbers 1-10

unicorn theme sets to 10

Instructions to make your own maths stones:

1.Find or buy some flat stones. I brought mine from Mitre 10

2.Paint them to your desired colour if necessary. I painted my black

3.Print the stone templates out to fit your rock sizes. You might need to experiment with 2 or 4 to a page, depending on your stone size.

4.Cut out the maths stones templates and glue them onto the stone. I use Modpodge glue from Spotlight.

5.Cover with a matte spray or setting spray to keep in place.

This has 4 pages total.
