This writing acronym prompt is the perfect way to build and enhance focus, self-checking and goals with junior writers! I love getting kids pumped and engaged in their writing that is happening - especially when they are aware of their success criteria or learning outcomes they can work on in their writing.
SMASH stands for:
- S - spaces in your work
- M - makes sense
- A - a full stop and capital letter
- S - sound card check
- H - have you underlined your not sure words
