As part of my ICT challenge this year with lifting student competency and fluency with using digital tools and equipment, I had a brain wave when working with the Year 5/6 students. These students I work with are 9-11 years old, with between 1-3 years experience using google apps for education. I was sitting in class and thought why can my class not do this? How can I adapt these lessons to have them meet the needs of my learners in class? I then googled using google apps for education with young children and came across this book 'Google apps for littles' by two ladies, Christine Pinto and Alice Keeler.
Now i get really excited about a lot of things easily. But this book arrived and oh my!! I am beyond excited about getting my children signed on and using google apps. The book really highlights step by step how easy it can be for getting 'littles' signed on. They supply lessons, activities and tips for integrating google into a class, and have it set out easily in the text. I am starting from the beginning and going to follow this step by step, but if using google with littles is something you are looking for then buy this!!! Mine arrived in 3 days off amazon - Google apps for Littles on Amazon. I can't wait to let you know how it goes!
Thank you Mrs Priestley for helping me with my Seesaw presentation! I couldn’t wait to share it with a large audience with high hopes of getting more professionals on board. Your supporting materials and the resources you so happy to share meant I was very well prepared for my workshop! I truly appreciate your professionalism and willingness to share!'' - Katie Saunoa
